Two individuals have been sentenced to prison following the uncovering of cannabis farms in Wirral.

Police carried out a search at a property on Tennyson Avenue in Rock Ferry at midday on Wednesday, November 20 last year and spotted a suspect inside who was detained.
During the inspection of the property, authorities discovered five rooms dedicated to cannabis cultivation, which housed a total of 97 plants.
A second search warrant was executed at a residence on Town Lane in Tranmere, uncovering another cannabis cultivation operation that featured four growing rooms housing a total of 147 plants.
At Liverpool Crown Court today (Wednesday, January 15), Danjel Markaj, 25, of no fixed address was sentenced to 12 months, while Pjetri Ferdinant, 23, of no fixed address was jailed for 15 months.
Both individuals were convicted of manufacturing a Class B controlled substance (cannabis).
Detective Inspector Andrew Schofield stated: “Cannabis cultivation in residential neighborhoods not only disturbs local residents by bringing in anti-social activities, but it also presents a genuine danger to their safety.”
