Chrissy Teigen, John Legend, and their family are back home following a tumultuous week of evacuations due to the ongoing Los Angeles County wildfires. The return couldn’t have been more timely, as they celebrated her daughter Esti’s 2nd birthday with a simple yet heartfelt celebration.
"Teigen expressed her gratitude, saying, 'It's so nice to be home again.'" via her Instagram Story on Monday, along with a photo of a chocolate-frosted cake topped with rainbow sprinkles and two John Cena figurines.

Teigen, 39, admitted that the cake was all she “could muster up” for Esti’s big day, reflecting the emotional toll of their recent evacuation. The model, her husband, John Legend, 46, their four kids, and their pets were forced to flee their home as fires raged across the region. Their daughter Esti’s fascination with John Cena added a personal touch to the celebration. In December 2024, Teigen shared her toddler’s “mysterious” obsession with the WWE superstar.
Teigen and Legend welcomed Esti in January 2023, just seven months after they added son Wren, now 2, to their family via surrogate. The two youngest siblings joined their older sister Luna, 8, and brother Miles, 6. “Chrissy, I think, wants more. I’m one of four, so I’m cool with it,” Legend said, explaining that having a big family has some pros and cons. “I was like, you know, once you get into that zone it’s a lot of folks - especially when you’re traveling, (it) gets difficult.”
He went on to say, “They’ve got one another, you see. Luna and Miles are stepping into the role of older siblings, and the age difference is significant enough that we won’t need to oversee every little thing they do.”
